Historic Districts

City of Darlington Historic Districts 
All Historic Districts in the City of Darlington are under the jurisdiction of the Historic Landmark Commission (HLC) which meets on the third Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in the City of Darlington Administration building at 410 Pearl Street. For more information on specific properties please call 843-398-4000 Extension 108. The City of Darlington has the following historic districts.
St. John’s Historic District includes portions of Orange St., Park St., St. John's St., & Sanders St.  63 properties are located in the district with 55 listed as contributing properties to the historic district and 8 listed as non-contributing.

Cashua-Spring Streets Historic District includes portions of Cashua and Spring Streets.  39 properties contributing to the district and 12 listed as non-contributing.

Darlington Industrial Historic District includes portions of Avenue A, East Broad St., and Railroad Ave.  13 properties are contributing to the district and 3 are non-contributing.

West Broad Street Historic District includes portions of West Broad Street.  36 properties are contributing to the district and 4 are non-contributing.

Darlington Downtown Historic District includes portions of the Public Square, South Main Street, Pearl Street, Exchange Street, and Ward Street. 17 properties are contributing to the district and 5 are non-contributing.
